A rescue effort was launched at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort on Tuesday night after an alligator dragged a toddler into the Seven Seas Lagoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
A dive team and helicopters searched for the 2-year-old, who was pulled into the water at about 9:30 p.m. local time, KFSM-TV reported. The Lake Buena Vista, Florida, resort sits on the shores of the lagoon.
As of 11 p.m., the unidentified child had not been recovered. It's unclear if the toddler was a guest of the hotel.
